Submission......

Working on the folio for submission tomorrow...
Its been so busy for past couple of days, after tomorrow it'll be all over.
It sounds like a good feeling when you hear that, but it feels bad to say that!
It got over when it had started to get interesting and challenging!
I don't want to say thank you to David and that I'm going to miss everyone; coz that will sound like it's the end.
I hope I can continue to implement what we have been taught in past few fantastic months. I hope we all can be in touch..... :)

at last......

After studying a bit about cyanotype printing process (thank you...you tube!) I finally came close to the result that I wanted to achieve. I tried 3 methods and finally the the 4th one made me a bit satisfied!
I also found a few photographers who used cyanotype in theis work. Michel Herin has experimented with cyanotype with even toning the print in tea/coffee.French photographer Ronan Niclot also has experimented with cyanotype and vandykes. I loved the vandyke style. Next I would like to watch how that is made as well.
Till then here is my work with cyanotypes...

Cyanotypes....

For the photography assignment I still am not 100% sure what images I want to use but I like this technique a lot. I used to enjoy working in the darkroom processing images and different results I used to get using different papers, chemicals etc.
In this image even though I have achieved the result on photoshop, I still feel it gives the feel of the old technique.
I want to use Cyanotype as the colour/technique for my photography assignment.
As the subject...I always shoot windows/doors where ever i go. I dont know what is it that attracts me to them...maybe what we see through them or maybe the curiosity...what we cant see through them!
So far this is my idea.
